ENGLISH CRICKET - Ed Smith - Tennant Lecture Series
ENGLISH CRICKET
Tuesday 11th February
A Talk by Ed Smith (WH 90-95) for the Tennant Lecture Series
The England cricketer, Ed Smith says he was very lucky that ‘Tonbridge School allowed him to read, write, think, argue, hit cricket balls and day-dream in the library in the early 1990s’. This has been a significant pattern in the rest of his life - writing books and articles, speaking on the radio and now selecting the England cricket team. He recently founded the Institute of Sports Humanities with another OT, Sir Anthony Seldon. Ed will be interviewed by the Headmaster about his fascinating and successful career as a sportsman, commentator and author.
